Under natural ventilation conditions, you must apply a derating factor of 2%/°C for the +5 VDC line and 3%/°C for the ±12 VDC lines to prevent hardware overtemperature degradation.

Q3: What external electrical protection is mandatory for the RPS6U 24 DC input line?

A: Unlike AC versions that feature rear-panel fuses, the DC-input rear panels do not incorporate integrated circuit protection components. To safeguard the equipment from catastrophic line surges, you must install an appropriately rated external circuit breaker on the incoming 24 VDC supply line before linking it to the rack terminals.
