Q2: How do you identify if an MC-PAIH03 module has conformal coating when inspecting it in the field?
A: Coated modules feature a distinctive "C" symbol surrounded by a solid diamond (the universal symbol of hardness) directly on their faceplate. Additionally, the model number on the side label will begin with an "MC" prefix instead of "MU".
Q3: Will an IOP failure affect the scan rate or performance of the main control processor?
A: No. I/O processing on the MC-PAIH03 is executed separately from control processing functions. This physical partitioning ensures that I/O scan rates remain completely independent of the controller loading, alarming, or total physical I/O quantity.
Q4: What happens to the process signals during a redundant module failover?
A: When configured as a redundant pair with a compatible redundancy option FTA, control automatically and instantly transfers to the backup I/O processor. Failover diagnostics guarantee that no input scan cycles are missed or delayed during the swap.

A: Yes. Any mix of high-level analog, low-level analog, digital, pulse, or serial interface processors can be selected and combined up to a total of 40 logical IOPs per controller without degrading communication or control performance.
