Q1: Are the DC power source connections on the main terminal strip polarity-sensitive?
A: No. When connecting a nominal 125 VDC source to the top two terminals of the terminal connector, the lines are completely non-polarity-sensitive on this AC/DC input power supply.
Q2: What happens to the programmable logic controller if the isolated 24 VDC supply output faces an overload or short-circuit?
A: If the Isolated 24 VDC supply loop is subjected to an electrical overload or a short-circuit condition, the Programmable Logic Controller will immediately stop operation.
Q3: How can the built-in overvoltage protection devices be disabled for a high-potential (Hi-pot) test?
A: The overvoltage protection devices are wired internally to pin 4 and tied to the pin 3 frame ground via a factory jumper strap. To safely perform a Hi-pot test without damage, you must completely remove this terminal strip jumper strap before testing.
Q4: What is the maximum combined output capacity allowed across all three voltage rails?
A: While the +5 VDC rail can supply 30 watts, the +24 VDC Isolated rail can supply 20 watts, and the +24 VDC Relay rail can supply 15 watts independently, the combined simultaneous load of all three outputs together must never exceed 30 watts total.
