Core Description
The 114M5335-01 is a high-performance Bently Nevada low voltage DC Power Input Module (PIM) designed exclusively for the 3500/15 power supply line. Fully compatible with standard 3500 machinery protection racks, this half-height module works seamlessly with the 114M5330-01 DC supply to deliver robust 20 to 30 Vdc line filtration, internal overvoltage protection, and stable backplane power distribution without interrupting ongoing monitoring operations.
Specific Application
Providing secure rear-chassis power termination and line conditioning for low-potential 24 VDC industrial plant utility buses.
Establishing a fully redundant, isolated low-voltage direct current power infrastructure within critical automated monitoring racks.
Deploying machinery protection systems in hazardous operational areas requiring strict ATEX, IECEx, and Class I Division 2 certification compliance.

System Compatibility
· Chassis Architecture: Installs into designated half-height Power Input Module slots on the rear left side of a standard 3500 protection rack.
· Companion Supply: Pairs exclusively with the matching 3500/15 Low Voltage DC Power Supply Module (part number 114M5330-01).
· Operating Thresholds: Accepts direct current input feeds strictly ranging from 20 to 30 Vdc.
Alternative Models & Functional Differences
· 114M5335-01 (This Module): Tailored specifically for low-voltage direct current infrastructure networks with a maximum full rack current draw of 11.0 A.
· High Voltage DC PIM (115M7750-01): Configured to process high-potential direct current sources between 88 and 140 Vdc, drawing a maximum of 2.5 A.
· Universal AC PIM (106M1081-01): Built to accept alternating current grids (110 to 220 Vac nominal) and completely incompatible with direct current backplane setups.
· Legacy Low Voltage DC PIM (133300-01): Older generation line hardware that is completely incompatible with the newer 114M5335-01 component group or its associated power supply module.
Installation & Troubleshooting FAQ
Q1: Does removing or inserting this PIM or its companion power supply disrupt ongoing machinery monitoring?
A: No. Removing or inserting either module does not disrupt the operation of the rack as long as a second redundant power supply is installed and working.
Q2: What safety response takes place if the incoming DC link experiences an over-voltage spike?
A: For all power supply options, an under-voltage state does not harm the unit, but an over-voltage event causes the internal protection fuse on the PIM to open.
Q3: How are primary and backup power routing paths managed when two supplies occupy the same rack?
A: When two modules are installed together, the one in the lower slot acts as the primary supply, and the other in the upper slot handles the backup supply tasks.
Q4: Why is my 3500/15 rack failing to turn on when using a discharged low-voltage plant utility source?
A: The input voltage must remain strictly above the 20 Vdc threshold. Under-voltage lines will not harm the PIM but will block the power supply from achieving proper regulation.
Q5: What maximum full rack current draw constraints must field engineers plan for when sizing cabling for this module?
A: Under full rack load conditions, the low voltage DC power path draws a maximum current of 11.0 A, requiring heavier gauge wire parameters than AC or high-voltage DC variants.
