A: No. Removing or inserting either module does not disrupt the operation of the rack as long as a second redundant power supply is installed and working.

Q2: What safety response takes place if the incoming DC link experiences an over-voltage spike?

A: For all power supply options, an under-voltage state does not harm the unit, but an over-voltage event causes the internal protection fuse on the PIM to open.

Q3: How are primary and backup power routing paths managed when two supplies occupy the same rack?

A: When two modules are installed together, the one in the lower slot acts as the primary supply, and the other in the upper slot handles the backup supply tasks.

Q4: Why is my 3500/15 rack failing to turn on when using a discharged low-voltage plant utility source?

A: The input voltage must remain strictly above the 20 Vdc threshold. Under-voltage lines will not harm the PIM but will block the power supply from achieving proper regulation.

Q5: What maximum full rack current draw constraints must field engineers plan for when sizing cabling for this module?

A: Under full rack load conditions, the low voltage DC power path draws a maximum current of 11.0 A, requiring heavier gauge wire parameters than AC or high-voltage DC variants.
