Q2: How do I connect a high-power indicator lamp exceeding the standard 4 W limit?

 A: For driving indicator lamps rated between 4 W and 10 W, you must wire a 4.7 / 1 W power resistor (HIMA Part No. 010685479) in series with the lamp load. This prevents the high initial cold-filament inrush current from false-tripping the module's 0.75 ... 1.5 A short-circuit protection circuits.

 Q3: What causes an unexpected output channel trip while driving an inductive solenoid?

A: Inductive loads create high-voltage transient spikes upon de-energization. If an inductive load is connected without an external flywheel diode (such as a 1N4007 or 1N4448 diode connected across terminals L+ and the channel), the reverse EMF voltage will trigger the short-circuit current limiters or undervoltage tripping (16 V), turning off the channel.
